Most of the Leisure and shopping complexes you will find  Konak, Karşıyaka and Bornova, In Karşıyaka and Mavisehir where our Turkish Language Center is based you will find the well-known supermarkets such as Carrefour and Tesco (Kipa) and many Student Cafes, Resturants and Bars along the Beach.

City Center is probably the longest Leisure Street with Bars, Cafes in Turkey. The northeastern part of Izmir stretches of approximately 46-acre cultural park with Zoological Garden, outdoor theater and fairgrounds. Public Transport: Absolutely essential, however, the numerous public buses  and passenger ferries, which itself can overcome the longest journey in Izmir at least in 20 minutes.

Port: İzmir has the second largest port in Turkey. Many cruise ships (AIDA, CUNARD) come to Izmir for a short trip.

Sport: The most popular sports in İzmir is soccer and basketball.

The most successful soccer teams play unfortunately in the 2 or 3 League Division such as: Altay, Göztepe, Karşıyaka SK, Izmirspor and Altinordu. Karşıyaka SK Pinar Basketball is the proud of Izmir which plays successfully in the 1 League of Turkey and EUROCUP. The Sports Arena  is within easy walking distance for the participantsof our Turkish Courses. The games are held usually on Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. The biggest Soccer Stadium is the Izmir Ataturk stadium with a capacity of 65,000 spectators. It regularly hosts many Super League and Turkish Cup derby matches, including those of Besiktas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
